About Us
Elizabeth West created Elizabeth Care Consulting to help care homes, nursing homes, domiciliary care agencies and registered managers make governance easier to understand, organise and evidence.
Why Elizabeth Care Consulting

Elizabeth Care Consulting was created to make CQC readiness and governance more practical for adult social care providers.
The original website began as a place to share useful CQC tools. Demand grew quickly as care professionals used, shared and asked for more practical resources.
That demand shaped the wider direction of ECC
Free CQC tools for immediate checks
CQC Readiness Review for focused judgement
Governance Hour for live learning and guidance
Governance Compliance Suite for ongoing evidence and governance structure
"I built these tools because I spent 35 years watching good managers struggle with CQC compliance, not because they were bad at their jobs, but because the support available was either too expensive, too generic, or too far removed from the reality of running a care service."

Experience
Built from adult social care experience
Elizabeth’s work is grounded in adult social care governance, compliance, service improvement and CQC readiness.
That experience matters because governance is not just a paperwork exercise.
In real services, governance connects to
Audits
Incidents
Safeguarding
Staff competency
Care records
Complaints
Feedback
Action plans
Quality monitoring
Continuous improvement
Leadership oversight
Why it matters
CQC readiness depends on being able to show how governance works in practice.
Providers need evidence of what is monitored, how risks are reviewed, how feedback is used, how actions are followed up and how improvement is tracked.
Elizabeth Care Consulting exists because many services are already doing important governance work, but the evidence is often fragmented.
The tools and Suite are designed to help providers bring that work into a clearer structure.
Why this approach is different
Elizabeth Care Consulting focuses on practical governance systems that help providers understand what evidence they already have, what may be missing, what needs action, what risks are showing, what leaders need to review, what should be followed up and what the service may struggle to prove if asked.
That thinking underpins the free tools, the CQC Readiness Review, Governance Hour and the Governance Compliance Suite.
Mission
To make high quality governance accessible to every care provider by creating a single, connected platform that simplifies compliance, strengthens culture and reduces workload, all at a fair and transparent cost.
Vision
To become the default governance ecosystem for small and medium care providers. A unified platform where induction, supervision, training, incidents, audits, evidence and quality improvement all live in one place.
Values
Accessibility
Governance should be achievable for every service. One platform. One login. One cost. No one priced out.
Clarity
Simple, intuitive tools that reduce noise, remove duplication and make governance feel calm, not chaotic.
Connection
Every module talks to the next.
Induction → Supervision → Training → Incidents → Governance
Integrity
Aligned to regulation, grounded in real practice and built to support safe, transparent, accountable care.
Human Centred Design
Built around the real workflows of managers, staff and services, not corporate theory or tech jargon.
Impact
Everything we build must reduce workload, strengthen culture and improve outcomes for people receiving care.
Fairness
A commitment to keeping governance tools affordable, accessible and equitable across the sector.
Important Note
Elizabeth Care Consulting is independent.
It is not part of CQC, endorsed by CQC or acting on behalf of CQC or DHSC.
Elizabeth should not be described as a former CQC inspector. The authority behind the work comes from adult social care leadership, governance experience and practical compliance systems.
ECC tools, reviews and learning routes are designed to support reflection, preparation, evidence awareness and quality improvement. They do not guarantee any CQC rating, inspection outcome or regulatory judgement.
