Governance is not solved by having policies saved in a folder.
Providers need to understand how daily care activity turns into evidence. For example incidents, audits, feedback, staff checks, complaints, action plans, reviews and improvements.
Why the Governance Hour exists
CQC governance can be difficult to work through alone
Many providers know governance matters, but still feel unsure about what good evidence should look like in practice.
The challenge is not always a lack of care or effort but is often knowing how to connect daily service activity to the evidence CQC may expect to see.
